Moses: God's friendship Chapter 5

The Lord gives and the Lord takes

God's killing is always just & reasonable. Because part of His cleansing His chosen ones, it is the bloody rod of discipline. He owns what we call "life". He can and will take whenever He wants to do it.

The good thing was, that Moses could bid to God. He can always come near, and ask God for his bid. God is severely affected by Moses so he withdraws His Hands and listens and understands Moses. This is God's friendship. He is just & willful. But He is also listening & gentle to his chosen ones. He trusted Moses so much that no one on earth has or can speak to God face to face just like what He did to Moses.

God did overdo with Moses. He revealed a lot of himself and went all the way. God exposed himself barely and today mankind has a glimpse of who He is, and of what He can do. We are so lucky indeed. Moses did not earn this friendship. God has been with Moses even when he was abandoned to die in the Nile river, God is always behind him.

God can hate us & we can hate Him too. But what God cannot endure is the "deliberate wrongdoings". Your sin every day is what's eating up God's patience & hate. It is not just one one-time sin and God kills. It has to be deliberate before He does & so it was done in the sight of people. Not just to fear Him but for the people to understand what was God speaking to them, what God wants & how to follow and obey his commands for long-term covenant. The covenant is the law of God. A promise that if anyone should follow He shall have God's friendship, a promise until the end of time.

So definitely some people would stop reading Exodus, Deuteronomy, and Numbers books in the bible. Reading God this way is really bloody and intense.

The 10 commandments was a detailed law. God was inspired to write it just for His chosen ones. Moses really was a human whom God can call his best friend He even wrote what His heart should do and follow. So that God and His people can agree and not kill anyone anymore because someone sinned or someone had done the wrong thing over and over again.

God did not tire himself in writing the 10 laws. He wrote it with Moses by His side. No human on earth made God this way. Only Moses did.
