Moses: God's Friendship Chapter 1

A baby born to this world, only to be placed in a basket, abandoned to die, flowing alone in the Nile river. A great faith must have been instilled in the mother's heart.

You call this God's friendship? Big yes!!!

The entire book of Exodus speaks about Moses, the liberator of Israelites from slavery and bondage. Raised in the arms of the most powerful Egypt Royalty, one of the most celebrated Egyptian King's sons, Moses knew nothing of his past identity. Until one day, it slipped away. Truth has its way of exposing itself revealing God's plan to unfold.

Yes. God chooses.

It hurts, I know but that is one truth about God. He is never equal among people when it comes to the fulfillment of his plans.

God can be a friend or an enemy. He showed his "inequality" to mankind through Moses. Inequality is when people aren't given equal opportunities and rights because God chooses whom to reward and whom to punish. He showed his friendship to His chosen ones and enmity to His enemies.

Whenever it feels and hurts this way, I always think God reserves the right to choose. The lesson is called obedience.

When God teaches obedience to his people, we need to pay attention. He who obeys his commands will be rewarded with his friendship. He who who does not obey Him will suffer and will be disposed is His enemy. It is a clear display of God's power and might. It is a sure sign that God is for you or against you. He is always clear in this. He does not go in circles or offer compromises.

We can also learn that when we earn God's friendship, He pledges himself. He concerns Himself so much with what his chosen ones will benefit in terms of the land, the food, and the welfare of His chosen people. When He befriends you, He will reside in you and will be busy for you, 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. No one can run from his friendship. He is on top of it and you must obey and pay attention.

Land- when God led the Israelites out of Egypt, he did not do magic. It was a process. He led the Israelites to the desert and let them wander. For these hard-headed people, they complain a lot and seem ungrateful. But for me, if I was in their place I could just stay there forever.
