Joshua : God who stood still Chapter 1

 God picks who? Who's next?

It is interesting to know that when Moses story ends, a new emerging young generation of leaders begins to advance God's plans and purpose to settle his chosen ones in the promised land.

This is not a task for elders. This is not even a drill. The task needs vigor and strength of a thousand might to gather courage and endure many battles to ensure a steady victory. 

God did not back out neither have to distrust the young people to lead its people. In fact, it was for them that this came to happen. Young blood for bloody battles and spying activities needed to be done at hand. Who is this figure? You can now begin to see the God who fights for his people in this young servant named Joshua.

It is in this servant leader Joshua, a young servant from the circle of Moses days  God chooses to continue the exodus from Egypt to the promised land. Taking a slice of the young and vibrant Joshua, in the presence of old Moses, God even doubled his strong presence and displayed might and wonder that even our scientists today proved the real astronomical phenomena did really happen?

O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon." So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar.

Joshua chapter 10 clearly stated where the Sun would stand still and the moon over a certain valley would sit. Imagining the moment is bloody and here Joshua is on his knees asking God for a big blowout of the entire Universe.

If Moses is crazy to ask for the parting of the Red Sea, Joshua is twice a lunatic. For he asks not of anything in this world but the outside of this world which is space, the order of the universe rather, that the God of heavens to halt the Sun's movement and stop the moon and place it steadily over a valley? This is super crazy. Did God complain?

Maybe grumbled for a while and then says: Ah my kids is gonna have to make it but the universe? This is huge!!! You better give me the result for making the Sun stand still and stopping the moon in a valley! 

How many of us would wonder if Joshua is still in his mind or out of his head? Let's slice it more.
