Joshua: God who stood still Chapter 8

Every time I wanted to start a new writing, it seems

I am undone with Joshua and I wanted to pick up more events, of its mighty deeds and military expeditions. So I am taking extra space to look into his life and his time as a leader of Israel.

It is said that there has never been any human on Earth that God listened to except for Joshua. It is "as if," Joshua had commanded God and God gladly assisted in Joshua's human might and strength to defeat his enemies in a fierce battle that the Sun must stand still in Gibeon and the moon must stop in Aijalon Valley.

Joshua must have been very impressed and God honoring him this way is too much. It is not overdoing anymore. It is Joshua dictating &God is listening "when God stood still..." gave away the Sun and Moon to Joshua, easy like a rock to control and take over.

Joshua was a transitional leader to men but a servant leader to God. He was the perfect youth leader, the bloody military commander, the intelligent meraglims strategist and you would not want to be his enemy during his time.

Joshua defeated 5 Amorites kings in a day by trapping them in a cave. Talking about 5 great kings to trap on his watch, during his time as the military commander just in one day? An atomic bomb of today cannot even explain this.

Who on earth was able to do as such? No one only Joshua. Joshua installed Israel in the land of Canaan bloodily and forcefully by the hand of God it is done. All of Joshua's movements were offensive and his enemies got the ruthlessness of death. Everywhere he goes, spells victory upon victory then settles all of his brothers in the promised land.

Well if the Sun and moon were yours, surely all the stars should follow as well. Even God did followed Joshua? Why? What's his difference from all of the men God used?

Joshua's servant leadership made all the difference.

Joshua's focuses so much on the Ark because he knows its value, he has a deep respect and fear of the Lord, and he understands God's presence is "among them" not far away.

Joshua has this full confidence because God is with them, the faith is astounding, strong& intact. No weaknesses to wallow, No surrendering, and No wandering where God is. 😌
